Up to 22 guests on Mission Bay.
The best way to spend a day on Mission Bay.
Your whole crew, and nobody you didn’t invite.
Marissa Cruises fits your whole crew, up to 22, so the friend you almost cut still makes the boat. Bride crews, birthdays, girls’ trips, or a just-because day on the water. With cruises starting as early as 2:30pm, you can run the sunny afternoon, the sunset, the fireworks, or all of it. You bring the drinks and the playlist, we bring the boat and Captain Lora, on the wheel since 2009.
Bring your group. Bring your bottle. Bring the dog.
What your group gets
Room for everyone, dressed for the occasion.
Up to 22 on board
The Marissa fits up to 22, so the whole crew rides together. No need to rent multiple boats.
Dogs welcome
Lora’s beagles, Captain and Scout, ride along most trips. Bring yours too, they’ll be in good company.
Set for the day
You pour your own drinks. JBL PartyBox for the playlist, an ice chest, cup holders, and a bathroom on board.
Captain Lora has run this bay since 2009, EMT-trained, the same hands on the wheel every trip. Three hours on the water is $1,800 for the whole boat, about $90 a head with a group of 20. Marissa Cruises is 100% woman-owned, and 1% of every booking goes back to ocean conservation.

From the guests
It was the perfect setup for a party boat on Mission Bay. The boat is an open layout, good for socializing with the whole group, and it is covered from the sun or the rain. Would book again!

Good to know
Questions guests ask before they book.
How many people fit on the boat?
The Marissa is Coast Guard rated for 22 passengers, and every Marissa Cruises charter is private, so it’s your group and no one else. Most parties run between 10 and 22. Tell us your headcount when you book and we’ll make room for everyone.
Can we bring our own food and drinks?
Yes. Marissa Cruises is BYOB. Bring your bottles, a cooler, and whatever you want to eat. There’s an ice chest, cup holders, and a bathroom on board. We ask that you bring cans or plastic instead of glass, since glass and bare feet don’t mix on a boat.
Can we bring our dog?
Dogs are welcome on every charter. Captain Lora’s beagles, Captain and Scout, ride along on most trips, so your dog will be in good company. Bring a towel and some water for them and they’re set for the evening on the bay.
Is the boat covered if it’s hot or drizzly?
Yes. The Marissa has a covered stern that keeps the sun off and a light drizzle out, so the boat runs in July heat or a cool marine layer. Evenings on the water can be cooler than shore, so bring a layer.
Where does the boat leave from?
We launch from Mission Bay Sportcenter at 1010 Santa Clara Place in San Diego, on Mission Bay rather than the downtown harbor. There’s parking at the dock. Once your date’s booked we send the exact meeting spot, the dock number, and a few tips for the night.
When can we see the SeaWorld fireworks?
SeaWorld runs its summer fireworks most nights from mid-June through mid-August, and the show starts around 9:45. On a fireworks night we take you out for the sunset first, hold position for the show and the drone display over the bay, and have you back at the dock by ten.
How long is a cruise, and what times do you run?
You can book two, three, or four hours, with cruises starting as early as 2:30pm. Want a specific start time? Tell us when you book and we’ll set it up. Three hours is the most popular for a sunset run. Four gives you the long evening with the sunset and the fireworks both.
Pick your length
Pick a date and we’ll hold the boat.
Two, three, or four hours, your group only.
