Marissa Cruises Policies
To ensure you have safe and enjoyable time on board the Marissa, we request that you read through and adhere to our rules and safety regulations.
Failure to abide by these regulations may result in forfeiture of your charter and/or additional charges.
Safety First, Fun Always! 🛥️
You’re on a boat cruising beautiful Mission Bay—life’s good! But to keep it that way, we’ve got some ground rules. Let’s keep the vibes high and the risks low.
🚩 Before You Board:
- Everyone hops on at their own risk! You MUST review and agree to the following before boarding:
- Bay Cruise Charter Agreement
- Waiver & Release of Liability Agreement
- Acknowledgment of Risk
- Rules/Regulations/Safety Briefing
- No alternate pickups—if you didn’t leave from the Our Dock, you’re not getting on.
🚤 While On Board:
- Max Capacity: 20 people. No squeezing in extras—comfort and safety first!
- Puppers are welcome (because dogs make everything better), but they need to be supervised. 🐾 doggy life vest recommended.
- Zero tolerance for careless or illegal behavior. Keep it classy, keep it safe.
- No drugs. Period. We’re a USCG certified vessel (means the boat is extra safe) and so a Drug-Free Zone—no exceptions, nope not even THC.
- Kids on board? They’ve got to be 5+ years ol* and over 90 lbs. Plus, they need an adult keeping an eye on them.
- Glass is banned on the boat—it never washes off -glass and bare feet just don't mix.
- Weather happens. If lightning or bad weather shows up, the Captain will head back to the dock immediately—no debate.
💥Respect the Boat:
- Move carefully—whether you’re boarding, moving around, or hopping off.
- Clean up your mess. If you leave the place looking like a post-party disaster zone, cleaning fees will hit.
- You’re on the hook for any damage or lost gear—let’s keep it intact!
- Be on time! Charter time starts when scheduled, whether everyone’s there or not.
📑Stay Informed:
- Read the rules and waiver before you agree to anything. Seriously—it’s for your safety and ours.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation or rescheduling of reservation: Note: All rental reservations are subject to a non-refundable deposit if a cruise is canceled or rescheduled. Cancellation with less than 7 days prior to the trip will result in a charge for the full amount of the charter ($600/hr). Rescheduling more than 7 days prior to the reservation is permitted. Customer must submit reschedule or cancellation requests to Marissa Charters via email to BayCruises@marissacharters.com. We are sorry for the strict cancellation/rescheduling policy but we only have one boat and the charter slots are in high demand.
***We understand coordination may be difficult but we will allow only one rescheduling of more than 7 days prior to the scheduled cruise date, the second rescheduling will require a new deposit.***
In the event of a weather-related cancellation, a one-hour rain check deposit will be taken and will be valid to use toward a future cruise for up the three months from the date of the canceled cruise.
